About 10 years ago, I developed one important skill and it took a tolls on me after several years including depression and nihilism. The skill I talking about it to see in multiple perspectives.
Every human being applied certain lenses on their eyes. If you wear black sunglasses, you see dark, if you wear red glasses, you see red surroundings, If you wear conservative lenses, you could only see conservative value and same goes too liberalism. In 21th century, human race have developed thousands kind of lenses and the purpose of these lenses is similar to goggle, to protect you. Protecting you for your belief, your cognitive, your feelings, and much more since the eye is one of the gates of truth.
During conflict and debates, most people will defend their belief and if you ever confronts with people you know how hard it is to convince them. Same goes to selling, we projected them with new innovation and concept but most people get scared and rejected it. It is not because of they don’t want to understand, but their glasses made other sees as threatening. So what basically this experienced pro salesperson this they try to create demand from customer’s world, they now no longer projected something to their eye, but from inside out.
Being empathy also is the result of manipulating this kind of lenses, basically you share the glasses as other people wear. That why these people could understand others. And it is important skill on being a leader.
So what it takes, as I said before. It took a tolls on me. The function of these lenses is to protect you, and removing this lenses will led to vulnerability. If you don’t have your own strong belief and cognitve, others will corrupts you. Moreover, by removing these lenses you will face the truth that you have always be feared of. It shares the same experiences of killing human being. The longer you keep out from lenses, the higher the risk you will be destroyed.
In my case and experience, I used to open my lenses all the time and it almost kill me, literally. But after about 10 years I learn when and where to used this curse.
