Old advices from my culture: perempuan jangan jadi “perigi cari timba” — women should not be “the well searching for the bucket”.
Somehow it is true but falsely perceived by newer generation. It doesn’t mean women should do nothing and just waiting. But, women should become who they really are, be a truly “perigi”:

1) It not covered while not easy to access to the true core of wells(water source) means you need to have certain spaces to give opportunity for those you want while determining who the right guy based on comparison between the depth of well and their length on string of their “timba”. The guys will knows eventually if they are short of length or not, so they will be choose either to improve themselves or just give up, while women still retain their honor. Some women have short depth of well and some have very deep. The guy who succeed reach the bottom of well show the reality of who she really are, same goes to men too.

2) It must not a “perigi buta” (empty well) means you have lost the meaning of being women in terms of honor and beautiful feminine behavior. Women nowadays have become more masculine than women 100 years ago as a result from masculinization in education system which traditionally only for men: they start want to prove and show their muscle(success) from their career position, yearly income, cars, house from their own effort. They preferred feminine-look man as most korean pop star, while older women generation used to prefer masculine actor such as from hollywood actors or bollywood actors. Lastly, honor means dignity of freedom women. As dignity portrayed by virgin Mary or Maryam binti Imran. Until now, she is the best of female ever existed which all women should take her as an example. This will make yourself desired by the men, not wolf.
